To become a licensed Practical Nurse in Canada, you will need to pass the jurisprudence exams. This step is independent from CPRNE and NCLEX, but it’s a way to evaluate your knowledge about the nursing laws, guidelines and practice standards in the country.

There are many similarities between the components of the nursing examination and the jurisprudence test.
You may be asked to:

Test Format
The level of difficulty in a jurisprudence course is normally divided. One exam will assess your theoretical and practical knowledge. Another will test your performance or intervention when faced with more complex situations.

You will be required to complete 150 multiple-choice question within three hours in the jurisprudence test. You only have a minute for each question. So, it’s best to be prepared.
